Being a member of the American Vegan Society (AVS) is about more than receiving this magazine.
It means you care about making compassionate choices and exploring what that means for you. Whether you’re just beginning to learn about veganism or you’ve lived it for decades, you’re welcome and valued in the vegan community.

The world is watching what happens in America. With over 80 billion land animals and untold billions of fishes killed each year worldwide, the need for a strong, visible vegan voice is urgent. Your membership makes that voice louder.

AVS Advisor and vegan luminary Victoria Moran put it beautifully: “Every vegan in America should be a member of American Vegan Society.” Let’s make that happen, and invite the vegan-curious people too!

Most people haven’t had the kind of upbringing I was lucky to have— one that always emphasized the importance of being vegan and living in a kind, neighborly way. Let’s give people that chance.

Many Americans simply haven’t thought about the impact of their choices. You can help them see it—by being part of something bigger.

Membership supports our work—especially funding the programs carried out by our hard-working staff. Your dollars “pay it forward,” making vegan information available for your neighbors, friends, coworkers, family, and others who don’t yet recognize its value.

Our “free” outreach includes sample copies of American Vegan magazine, website resources, social media, and selected classes and events. These tools help people connect the dots and imagine a more compassionate world.

Reinvigorating AVS starts with you.

Join or renew your membership today and/or give gift memberships to people who need it—maybe they don’t yet realize how important veganism is.

Let’s continue building a thriving vegan movement, together.
