Chef Fran Costigan has chosen a few of her favorite winter desserts that work for everyday and whenever you need something special.
She will discuss different kinds of cocoa powder and vegan sweeteners, plant milks, and why egg replacer isn’t always needed. The desserts in this class are made with standard pantry items and no special equipment is needed.
The desserts can all be made ahead of whatever occasion, and the components can be used to make lots of variations.
Chef Fran will make, and attendees will sample, such delectable treats as Almost Instant Chocolate Pudding, Mini Brooklyn Blackout Bites, Chocolate Orange Truffles, and a Chocolate Ganache Crostini. All items other than the crostini are gluten-free.
She notes that the class will be helpful to anyone and everyone: “Today, if you don’t have some solid vegan desserts, you are going to be disappointing a lot of people, family, and friends. And if you’re a pro, you are leaving money on the table.”
Join Fran Costigan for this amazingly delicious class. Limited to 20 seats. Ticket price INCLUDES a copy of Fran’s book Vegan Chocolate! This is also the case for Zoom attendees ($35.00). AVC attendees will wear masks except while eating samples. (Tickets at the door if available: $55.00)
