This is the first of two 76-minute walking tours through Old City focusing on its vegetarian and vegan history. Vegetarian advocacy officially launched in the U.S. in 1817 just one block from the American Vegan Center, and the story of that group along with others illustrates Philadelphia’s groundbreaking role in American veg history. This tour departs from the steps of the American Vegan Center at 17 N. 2nd Street on Friday, Dec. 10th at 11:30 a.m. Pricing is $120 for 10-15 people.
