Vegetarian advocacy officially launched in the U.S. in 1817 just one block from the American Vegan Center, and the story of that group along with others illustrates Philadelphia’s groundbreaking role in American veg history.

The tour departs from the steps of the American Vegan Center at 17 N. 2nd Street at noon on Sunday, June 30.
